Earthside Eco Bums’ highly absorbent, luxuriously soft bamboo cloth pads are doing more than stopping thousands of single-use pads and tampons from ending up in landfill and waterways – they’re also helping keep harmful toxins away from your delicate areas.
With PCOS and other women’s health and fertility concerns on the rise, we’re encouraging women to reconnect with their natural cycle with respect, comfort and ease.
Our pads are water-resistant, breathable and available in four handy sizes so you can choose what feels best for your body during ‘that time of the month’.
  • Light Flow Pad – Short like a panty liner, super lightweight and ideal for light leaks, daily wear and light post-partum incontinence. Length: 19 cm
  • Medium Flow Pad – Perfect for medium flow and everyday use, slightly longer than a panty liner. Length: 25 cm
  • Heavy Flow Pad – Designed for heavier periods and reliable daily protection. Length: 27 cm
  • Ultra Heavy Flow Pad – Specifically shaped for overnight use, super heavy bleeding and post-partum bleeding. Length: 36 cm
What are they made of?
Our reusable cloth pads feature a water-resistant PUL backing to help protect against leaks – the same breathable, hard-working fabric we use in our modern cloth nappies.
The wings snap securely around the base of your underwear, with two snap settings so you can choose a snug fit that keeps your pad comfortably in place.
Inside, the absorbent core is made from multiple layers of thirsty bamboo cotton, providing both excellent absorbency and a beautifully soft surface against your skin.

Washing & Care for Reusable Cloth Pads
  1. Pre-wash before first use to help activate absorbent fibres.
  2. After use hand-rinse in cool water until water runs clear. Gently squeeze out excess water and add to your dry-pail until machine wash day.
  3. Main Cycle Every 2-3 days. MAX 50deg cycle. Use the recommended dosage of detergent. Can be added to your regular washing loads. Avoid loads with large towels/sheets.
  4. Drying: Line dry recommended with fabric lining facing sunshine to avoid damage to water proofing layer. Tumble-dry on low heat settings or portable clothes airer. Ensure pads are completely dry before storing away.

*Note. Do NOT soak in napisan, bleach or detergents or use softeners as this may damage the fabrics and interfere with absorbency. Do not iron.

Each individuals menstrual cycle is unique to them. Therefore the quantity of reusable pads required will depend on length, flow and if you choose to use disposables at all. You may use between 2 and 5 pads per day depending on your flow. For this reason, we suggest that 15 to 20 pads should get you through an average cycle.

Just as every cycle length is unique, so is your flow.

It is recommended that you change your cloth pad as you would a disposable pad. In general, roughly every 3-4 hours during the day.

Nights are a little different. If you size up depending on your flow the one pad should last the night.
